Associated British Ports (ABP) is the largest port operator in the UK. It is also one of the biggest commercial landowners in the country. With a landbank of over 1,000 hectares, a portfolio of over 1,000 tenants and strategically located ports, ABP has a uniquely diverse portfolio. Access to cross-sector growth opportunities, makes it a forward-thinking, fast-paced and dynamic place to work.

Now is an exciting time to join the business, as the new ABP Property leadership team has worked hard to devise a strategy to unlock new growth pathways, which are currently at the stage of implementation. This means there are more opportunities for asset management and maximising value through new development. This is why the company is looking to expand the team and secure the right skills to deliver these goals.

ABP’s ambition for growth is complemented by the company’s strong focus on sustainability and enabling the UK’s clean energy transition. In February 2023, ABP launched a sustainability strategy, Ready for Tomorrow, which sets out its plans to become net zero by 2040 at the latest.

The Property team plays a critical role in building a greener future by offering tailored, more sustainable solutions to new and existing tenants. 18 of ABP’s 21 ports already support renewable energy projects, from onshore and offshore wind to the UK’s largest rooftop solar array at the Port of Immingham, providing the business with the client-side expertise to support tenants’ own sustainability journeys. This has the potential to bring a range of benefits from attracting billions of pounds of investment to creating hundreds of thousands of jobs for local communities and improving the UK’s energy security.

Join a tight-knit, passionate and ambitious property team, which draws on the multi-sector expertise of its leaders to deliver excellent commercial results whilst supporting the growth and development of its members. The teams across the UK are established and engaged and ABP is looking for motivated and dynamic individuals to help deliver best in-class assets.

Working with ABP will help grow your career through exposure to a diverse, multi-sector portfolio in a collaborative and supportive environment, which has a strong focus on achieving sustainable growth.  What is on offer are the keys to ABP’s impressive portfolio - it’s your chance to show us what you can achieve with them.
